Uses in the kitchen

Organic chickpeas are a very healthy food and much loved in vegetarian and vegan diets as a rich protein source.

Before being consumed they must be soaked in water at room temperature for about 12 hours, then they must be rinsed and boiled in salted water until the desired consistency is reached.

The combination of this legume with cereals such as pasta, rice, spelt, buckwheat or oats is very popular in the kitchen, as the combination of organic dried chickpeas with cereals allows faster absorption of the proteins contained in them.

Seasoning with spices such as bay leaf, oregano, sage, thyme and rosemary particularly enhances the taste.

In addition to making first courses in addition to cereals, they can be eaten as a single dish, or in combination with meat or they can still be used to make tasty salads, soups and velvety soups.

They are great for making meatballs, burgers, muffins or sauces.
